Nitro Pro 8.5.6.6 Trial version and Excel

Hi, I am evaluating the 14 day trial version of Nitro Pro 8.

In December 2012, a thread on your support forum asked about a complicated Excel export problem involving Excel tables; in response a member of the Nitro staff replied that future improvements in Nitro's handling of objects in Excel like tables was under discussion.

I am curious to know if there is any changed Excel-related functionality in the version of Nitro Pro 8 I am evaluating, compared to previous versions.

I would be using this version of Nitro Pro 8 with Office 2010 running on 64-bit Windows 8: any problems there, using the Nitro add-in, etc. ?

thanks, Bill

Hello,

There has been major improvements on how Nitro converts PDF to Excel and vice versa. It will be best for you to give it a try and try using one of your files to see if it suits your needs, for any file-specific issues or questions, please open a support ticket and attach the original file so we can have a look.

Also, the Nitro Office Addins are not compatible with 64-bit versions of Microsoft Office 2010 at this stage, and it is documented in our release notes (last page, last dot point) - http://install.nitropdf.com/pro8/en/nitro-pro-8.pdf

Existing 32-bit add-ins are not supported on Office 64-bit. For more information please refer to the following article from Microsoft - http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/products/office-2010-frequently-a...

We are however looking at making this compatibility possible in a future release of Nitro Pro.

:-)
